Our proprietary ATLAS attachment system is a durable and dependable mounting platform, maintaining a slim profile while still providing the strength and stability customers have grown to love from Aero Precision handguards. ATLAS The new Aero Taper Lock Attachment System (ATLAS) is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. It features 2 mirrored tapered locking nuts that provide evenly distributed clamping pressure across a custom engineered barrel nut with use of a turnbuckle screw. A ratcheting detent further secures the design while providing positive registration during installation. By design, the even pressure of the ATLAS system avoids distortion of the handguard often seen with current applications during installation. It’s an excellent rail with a real cool mounting system. Decent sized Internal diameter and a good fit in the hand. I highly recommend for a decent lightweight option that’s not too expensive. Aero quality

Not the correct barrel nut. Only 1 shim (aero precision website lists multiples).Tool (shown and described on aero precision website) not included.The packaging didn’t look new and I should have opened it when it arrived. Started assembly finally this week and found wrong and missing items. Looks like someone else purchased a handguard and then returned it without the original parts. This has happened to me at Walmart (purchase a printer and find the ink cartridges are gone when I open the box).Not a happy camper. Very disappointed to have spent this much money and not be able to install it. Very disappointed that OP sent out something picked over. �asqrdh

So i like this handguard overall. It's light, has mlock, not crazy expensive, and matches my Aero m5 lower pretty well. What i don't like about it is that the finish doesn't match my m5 lower exactly. I have an anodized OD green lower. I bought this handguard, with the same finish and color as my lower, so that it would look seamless. It does look good from a distance, but once you get close, you can notice the difference. My lower looks a bit more glossy while the handguard looks more matt. Its not a huge difference but just something i noticed.

Aero makes great stuff and OP has really great prices. I've purchased several AR15 Aero handguard they all came with shims so I could align the barrel nut. But this one was shimless!! Arg!!! Now, I had to purchase shims to finish my build. It is like buy a car and then having to pay extra for the keys!!
