I wanted an extra bolt assembly to keep in the grip compartment for a backup, and happened to see a review of this AB Arms bolt carrier group online. I liked the idea of it being slicker, so supposedly carbon gunk won't stick as easily. The vet-run company has a good reputation, and builds these items to a high standard in materials and workmanship. So instead of getting individual parts, I got this BCG as an upgrade and took the bolt, firing pin, and pins from my original BCG and put them in the grip for backup. I was a little concerned about headspace, so I ordered a Max Nato field headspace gauge to check it. Headspace was fine. I've used the AB Arms BCG for a few hundred rounds and it's worked fine. Since it's silver colored, I can now see buildups of carbon that would have been hidden with my previous black colored BCG.

This is The Best bcg that i own. SLIDES lIKE BUTTER VERY SLICK. IF YOU WANT THE BEST THEN BUY American Built Arms bcg. I research bcgs for a long time .I read all the reviews i could find on the web. Before making the decision to buy. For the money you can't go wrong.

I just returned a boron-nickle coated BCG from another company, which I had bought from another online retailer — it turned into a nightmare, and this was a fairly well known sight. Word of caution: look to be sure that retailer even HAS a return policy, as this one had a policy of NO returns! I ended up replacing that one with a BCG from American Built Arms. Planet Optics gave me a good price, and I am 100% satisfied. The BCG is well-finished, no mistakes in machining, and it slides up and down inside the upper as smooth as glass, and the company supports American workers. I was so impressed with that experience that today I bought an additional American Built Arms bolt from Planet Optics, as well as an Aimpoint Pro Patrol optic. Now I know where to shop!

I bought this BCG to replace my worn out stock S&W BCG. After the first 1000 rounds I can say this has durability and quality built right in. Impressed with the smooth action it provides as well. It seems like it will be around for the long haul. The price wasn't jaw dropping expensive. Very happy with my buy. I might grab another!
