Featuring the same industry leading barrel nut and lock up design as originally introduced on BCM’s evolutionary KMR handguard, the QRF Series of handguards gives the shooter modularity in the picatinny (MIL-STD-1913) platform. Includes T, L, R, and B recoil slot markings on all four rails to aid in repeatable set up for the end user. This proprietary patented mounting system (US Patent 8904691), includes a mechanical index to the 12:00 rail and positions mounting hardware to mitigate the movement caused by heat generated by the weapon system. It is a slim and lightweight quad rail. Has been mounted on a 20in A2 style rifle and it fits perfectly for anyone wanting to keep the A2 sight post on the rifle, though technical skill or a gun smith is needed for installation.

This handguard/rail is a great product. A lot of time and thought went into its design. I like the anti-rotation, anti-axial movement cross-bolts, locking bolt-head system, integrated qd mounts, and overall quality of the product. The barrel nut and heated fitting are very tight and desirable for keeping it stable and accurate. The bolts compress the rail, slighty, at the top, in order to not flex out the gap around the gas tube further, as many other rails do, that tighten from the bottom. This means less shape distortion under bolt torque forces. It makes sense, but I never really thought of that, past a heavier rail, with more material reinforcement. So, they did a good job with several aspects of designing this product. I have also seen videos of their facilities, up north, and they focus on quality control/assurance very heavily. They include locking fluid, wrenches, barrel nut tool, and directions with the package. Leave a slight gap between the rail and upper receiver in most applications, to allow for a true freefloating rail. I have not abused or harshly tested the rail, but it is doing great so far. Light in weight, also. I would recommend to a friend. The 1913 Picatinny style of rails classification is older, but still commonly used. They also make Keymod and M-lok, if you prefer that method of fastening attachments.

just mounted it and played with it a bit. very solid rail system and looks great with a 10.5 inch barrel. makes a great rail for a poor mans mk18 clone. pretty thin to, not like the cheap quad rails. idk what else to say but apparently I need a 200 character review

I love this quad rail. While M-lok has almost taken over the modern AR scene, there’s just something awesome about a quad rail. BCM is known for their great products, and this is not exception. As with all quad-rails, the picatinny rail is not the most comfortable to grip, however throw a rubber ladder type rail cover on there and it nullifies this issue. Other than that, I love this quad rail as I love all BCM products. Buy with confidence.

BCM handguards have a really solid mounting system, and are very strong. This one went on a 556 pistol build. It fits perfectly with the 10.3” barrel IMO. It leaves a little gap between the muzzle device and the handguard which should work well for a suppressor. I chose the quad rail specifically for a little more heft, ease of attaching a light as well as an AFG that I already had. I don’t like the way the AFG’s feel on a kmr or mlok handguard with a rail segment underneath… it stands off too far and the mlok AFG’s just don’t feel right. The handguard itself as well as the fitment feels VERY solid, making the firearm itself feel very solid and strong.

After the apocalypse, all that will be left is cockroaches, twinkies, and dudes rocking quad rails. Don't fall for the bendy mlok cult; the quad will soak up the heat, provide amazing grip, and hold zero better than anything else out there. I put mlok on my girlfriend's gun, because she weighs 100 lbs – real men choose a quad.
