It is for a mil-spec, M4 type AR15 with a mid length gas system and mil-spec front sight base. The PKMR handguard has a slim and lightweight design and features reinforced KeyMod mounting surfaces for durable accessory support. This handguard also features an aggressive textured area for enhanced traction and has an aluminum heat shield to reduce heat transfer to the handguard and the shooters hand. This PKMR model will only fit a triangle M16 type handguard retaining cap. This mid-length model has a black finish. I haven’t shot my AR since installing the handguard but the fitment is nice and tight,and the texturing and slightly slimmer feel than the stock handguard is nice. Can’t beat this handguard for the money and I like it over my magpul handguard .

If your looking for the slimmest lightest rail that has it's mounting slots, in this case keymod reinforced then this is the rail for you. It not only looks good, it also feels great in the hand and allows me to solidly mount a O-light Valkyrie II on a 45 degree angle without any additional off set mounts other then a short keymod/pic rail. The reinforced key mod slots at the 6 O'clock position allow for a vertical grip to be mounted and properly used under load unlike other slimmer options with un-reinforced slots that will eventually crack.I filled all remaining slots in using the BCM rail panels and their texturing is almost seamless against the texturing on the rail itself. I purchased this rail to replace standard Magpul MOE furniture and I find it superior in every way even if it's not Mlock.
