As the latest entry to the Geissele line up of Super Modular Rails, the MK14 offers a slimmer package than previous versions due to the improved handguard design. The handguard has a smaller diameter and is shorter, improving grip and reducing the overall weight of the weapon. Plus, these free-floating rails are machined with precision from 6061-T6 aluminum to ensure they are durable, lightweight, and rigid. The MK14 Super Modular Rail kit also includes the updated version of the Geissele Barrel Nut design, which allows for easy installation and excellent rigidity to keep your weapon stable. This barrel nut has 2.25 inches of surface contact, giving it plenty of space to interface with the receiver and keeping your mounted optics in position even after firing countless rounds. Very pleased with the fit and finish from the mk14. The quality is what you pay for and it is definitely here in this rail. Spend the money and rest assure it’s well worth. Comes with .750 super gas block, install tools and barrel nut.

Great product but not 13”. It’s the newer 13.5”. I recommend these rails but really wanted a 13” for my 13.7” build. These rails are proven and have worked great on two of my other builds. I continue to use them. Just wanted a short version to build my 13.7”

The install process was a breeze. The tool needed to torque the barrel nut down is included. Be sure to follow all instructions. It’s lighter than I expected yet solid enough to take a pounding. You can feel that the minute you unbox it. I wasn’t expecting the Gas Block that came with it, so I was pleasantly surprised when it showed up with one. Most Rail Systems come with one. Hardest part was preparing for install. The removal of my factory A2 front sight was a nightmare. Thankfully I was able to get those roll pins knocked out. Getting it centered and leveled was easy. Very impressed with the product you get. It may be more expensive than other MLOK Rails but when you factor in the Gas Block being a quarter of that price, it’s really not so expensive afterwards because now you’ve got two parts in one package.

I bought this rail because I wanted a 13.5” rail for my 14.5” pinned and welded barrel. This rail was more than I would usually spend, but after receiving it I can see why. It is clearly designed for durability in harsh conditions. Fit and finish are first rate, as would be expected. That being said, I don’t find it truly comfortable in my hand. I have only put about 400 rounds through this build, and it hasn’t caused any problems, but I think that I prefer the MI rails just a bit more. I am certain that I will grow used to the difference, and it is negligible, but it’s there. This rail is on my SHTF build because I do know that it will never let me down

Extremely disappointed in the fact that geissele stopped including barrel nut wrenches years ago(confirmed with OP or directly with geissele, don’t recall). I wish I would’ve know before purchasing as it would’ve been a determining factor for buying. Instead it caused a huge inconvenience since I had to buy an additional tool that has been collecting dust for 2 years now and it would’ve costed me the same to ship back the handguard. Other than the additional expense and headache, this is actually one of the best hanguards I have ever come across. Extremely solid. Roughly 800 rounds later, it has not moved or loosened up. If you don’t mind the additional cost, this is an awesome handguard. Otherwise there are other alternatives either as good or similar for less. Lastly, no armorer’s wrench work with guissele barrel since it’s “proprietary”.

The handguard is awesome. The Mlok section is silky smooth and skinny and feels real good in the hands. My only gripe is that the handguard is not 13 in. its 13.5 so buy accordingly when you are trying to get a barrel and muzzle break especially if your like me and your trying to install a suppressor on it as well. 14.5 may be a safe barrel length to go for for those that are interested in making the muzzle break and end of the handguard close as possible.
