PROS: Shipping was good. Took a week for delivery. Also was well packaged. I liked the extra rubber tabs that fit into the M-loks, which gives it a good feel. The finish was good. Appears to be well MFG. Installed it on my AR and it looks great. Also comes with shims.CONS: This particular model came with a aluminum barrel nut instead of steel as stated in the discription. Don't know which models come with a steel barrel nut. The FDE is not an exact match to the Magpul FDE on the rest of my AR. Its the only thing on my AR that doesn't match. If you're very particular about everything matching, this wont do. I guess its close enough for me. Be aware that it DOES NOT come with the 31mm barrel nut wrench. (that was another $25 with shipping). So order one with this handgaurd. Its an aluminum nut. You don't want to damage it with any other tool.

US made, clever mounting, great quality, costs far less than competion. No complex timing isdues with gas tube and for me shape and diameter are excellent in the hand. Using primarily on pistol caliber carbines for steel chalenge, good grip excellent handling charicteristics.

Here are some tips and details about this product that I wish I would have known before purchasing:Finish quality is very good (no rough edges or burrs anywhere on the handguard)It is narrow and very light–as I expected and wanted.Mounting screws definitely need blue loctite when assembledBarrel nut on mine was aluminum with 32mm wrench flats. It fits under the gas tube with no issues.I bought a 1 1/8 Sunex crow's foot on Amazon for $9 and used my bench grinder to enlarge it to 32mm. I also had to grind it thinner to fit on the barrel nut's flats.I torqued my barrel nut to 50ft-lbs with silver anti-seize on the Aero Precision upper receiver threads to get the nut timed properly for the handguard to mount. I also used 3 of the included shims. The holes in the handguard are slightly oval so minor adjustments can be made to its position. It was not difficult to line it up with my upper receiver's rail.

I was quite impressed with this rail. It is very well machined, super slim, extremely lightweight, and it's at a fair price. It feels great in the hand. I absolutely love how it looks as well. I have only one complaint, and that would be that I was having gas block trouble on my AR, as a result I was putting the handguard on and pulling it off a bunch of times, and the piece that the screws thread into is just aluminum. One of the screws on the bottom stripped out the last time I put it on. Granted, that is partially my fault for running the screws in and out so many times, but it would have been nice if they were threading into steel instead.

I bought this handrail because it was cheap but I'm very impressed with it. Clean and good looking, very easy to install. The barrel nut is steel instead of aluminum like many rails are, and it doesn't require a special barrel tool. Also it came with the barrel extension shims, which most don't. It's the only handrail I haven't had any trouble with( including: juggernaut tactical, Midwest industries, and black rain ordinance). Honestly it's a good product at any price and a great deal at its price. I will be buying more. It is quite skinny though, as in overall outside diameter, which I like but some may not.

Light weight and serves its purpose. Installed on an AR9 w/ 16inch barrel. Had to weld a socket to an adjustable wrench to use for tourque. After I installed it I realized the flash suppressor flats were under the gaurd so I had to remove it again to clock it. Over all very satisfied with the results.
