I got one for my Ar I was building I love it. Lightweight and comfortable.I highly recommend this product. I will be buying more hogue Ar product for my next build. My buddies like the feel that hogue hand guard has.

Great looking quality product. Ergonomic solid grip surface. Excellent design makes install easy and clean. Some reviews were negative about color match. I got FDE and grip stock , forend all match perfectly and is just barely lighter than magpul FDE. I also just ordered some more pieces in ODG for another AR build.

A couple problems right at the start. The plastic barrel nut wrench provided is garbage and unusable. The “best” alternate tool to torque the barrel nut with would be an oil filter strap wrench. No way of verifying actual torque numbers, however. The instructions don’t really mention that you need barrel nut shims for the gas tube alignment. It’s a good thing I had a few shims laying around. In the end, I didn’t like the looks or feel of this product, so I disassembled it and put it back in its packaging and threw it in the corner with my other failures….
