This goes on as easy as normal hand guards. It fits standard AR carbines and doesn't take 30 seconds to install. It is solid, and I don't know how they did it, but the top rail lines up with the rail on the A3 upper perfect. This is not a free float hand guard, so it does require that the standard delta ring and triangle hand guard cap be in place to install. Its super light, and has a very durable mil-spec hard anodize coat finish. I put one on a DPMS Lite 16A3, and one a Palmetto State Armory PTAC, and was more than pleased. The only downside is the price. One could buy a lesser quality makers comparable product for a third of the price, or even an airsoft knock off for a quarter the price. But you get what you pay for in both fit and finish with this product. It seems funny to mount a $124 hand guard on a $600 rifle, but if you agree that you should always pay more for a scope than a rifle, then this is the product you should be putting on you AR.

I have a PSA mid-length upper with the triangle front cap, well let me tell you, my girlfriend bought me this rail and it fits tight with no movement at all. I mean no movement, as tight as a free floating one feels, which is something I was skeptical about before the purchase. The paint matches the receiver, nothing glossy or cheap, the letters and markings are all beautiful. Also, it's barely heavier than the plastic shielded hand-guards PSA ships their rifles with. My rifle is now as close to my issued M4 as it can be, looks wise.

Ordered the Midwest Industries Gen2 Two-Piece Drop-In Handguard in Carbine length to fit to my PSA 10.5" 5.56 AR pistol with Front Sight Base. If you don't have a Hercules grip, you will need an AR delta ring handguard removal tool to get these bad boys on. The handguard fits TIGHT. It's a quality piece of kit that will not move or rattle once installed. It's also one of the lightest quad rails on the market, because of the extensive machining that MI does to these parts. I've used Knights Armaments Mil-Spec rails on my issued rifles, a UTG Pro on my personal AR, and now these. I can say that I like the Midwest rails the best. The KAC and UTG rails are heavier, and if you're building a Pistol/SBR and trying to keep weight down, these are great. The UTG Pro rails are nice too, and cheaper, but the Midwest rails saving a couple of ounces is worth the extra bucks especially if you're planning on adding accessories, which is probably the idea, if you're swapping out your standard handguard to a rail system.I'd say 4.5 stars if you're concerned about getting these on and off your weapon, because they really are a tight fit, but that's what's so nice about them also.

I ordered this Midwest drop for an M4 clone because knights armament RAS is just too pricey these days. I like the Midwest product better! Very tight drop in and the continuous rail to the receiver is a plus over similar products. Fit and finish is flawless. Can’t beat it for the price. I will be buying a rifle length rail soon!

Mounted the hand guards on my Springfield Saint (mid length). Fit perfect. Looks great feels even better. I like the ability to mount any additional gear easily to my handguards. The color blends perfectly with the color of the Saint. Very durable construction and material.

I am very pleased with both the quality and fit with this MI handguard on my Colt LE6920. The tolerances are extremely tight with the Colt but once installed there is no rattle or play at all. Some other reviews have claimed that the rail is hard on the hands, but I've had no problems with sharp edges or anything catching. One of the nice things about this handguard are the QD mounts for attaching sling swivels. This is a very nice addition and makes attaching my sling very easy and quick to install without having to purchase mount adaptors to add to the rail. There are some more expensive (and cheaper) options out there, but for the money this handguard is excellent.
