The "AR47" design is a compromise. Three things: bolt, hammer spring and firing pin.To fit a 7.62×39 casing in a bolt designed for 5.56NATO, something has to give if you want the ability to use Mil-spec parts (Certain parts like the bolt can never be mil-spec, of course.). The Comblock ammo has a harder primer, so needs slightly longer firing pin, as Mr "Bad misfiring BCG" discovered. They should include with the 7.62×39 AR BCG, but they don't, but firing pin is not expensive. Finally, I bought a lower spring kit, but have not needed it yet. The hammer spring will have problems eventually and is part of this kit.If you don't want to compromise, you need to go to a proprietary solution (CMMG) or an AR10 chassis, perhaps. They tend to be significantly more expensive.I've been shooting this platform since 2016, sometimes I'll do 500 round mag dumps. Frankly, I ride my horses hard and put them away wet. I still get reasonable reliability for hog hunting. (I can also afford to keep a second AR in the truck as insurance.)

I bought this Radical bolt carrier and used it with the Radical Firearms 7.62×39 upper, the 16 inches barrel one, and worked pretty well. Before shooting it I replaced the firing pin with a reinforced pin for 7.62×39 made by Bexar Arms and I didn't have any malfunction. I used an ASC 7.62×39 magazine for my lower M&P 15 AR. I'm very happy with the results.

I bought this for an AR15 762×39 that I was building. Took it out to shoot and the rifle didn't fire. Kept Leaving impressions of the firing pin on the primers but no action. Firing pin isnt long enough to strike deep enough into primer. Really disappointed. They really need to upgrade the firing pin on their BCG's.

I see some others not being too impressed with this 7.62x39mm BCG but for me it has performed exceptionally. The few problems I've had with the rifle were solved with enhanced firing pin, extra power hammer spring, and using C-Products Magazines. The staking is good on my example of this BCG.

Very happy with this item! Happy with the performance of the Optic Planet crew! It doesn't get any better than this. Thank you.
