This charging handle has a nice, secure lock-up With no movement. Operating the release lever is light, tactile, and positive with good leverage and clearance around the eye bell on optics. One-handed operation is a pleasure as it works smoothly and doesn't seem to bind and drag to one side like some handles tend to do. Overall a solid piece of hardware, definitely worth the price for the quality you receive.

Rise armament makes some great products and is always reasonably priced. The charging handle is easy to grab with the extended latch and feels sturdy. So you definitely don't have to worry about the roll pin breaking like those "eBay special's". Definitely perfect for all of my wants/needs on a AR build. Definitely will continue to purchase rise armament products in the future.

I bought this charging handle because someone compared it to the Strike Industries charging handle. I thought for the money why not give it try. The packaging does say that it is made in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. I don't think that other countries cannot manufacture as good a quality product as the United States, but I live in this country, why not support it?For comparison purposes the latch on the Strike Industries is longer and is made of aluminum. The Rise Armament charging handle latch is made of steel. The full SI charging handle and latch weighs 33 grams and the full RA charging handle and latch weighs 41 grams. A stock charging handle is all aluminum and weighs 31 grams. The roll pin on the RA is larger so you can't swap out the latch without enlarging the hole on an aftermarket latch. That said, the RA is a quality product with a lifetime manufacturing warranty.

If you compare this with Strike Industries they are apples to apples. Both look great and work as expected. The big plus for me is that Rise Armament is American made. I'm all for getting competitive pricing but also want to promote the companies that do it in the good ol' red white and blue.

I have bought probably 6 of these charging handles. All for around 30 bucks each. 7075-T6 aluminum means you have a strong material youre working with, not that cheaper 6061. NEVER go with a 6061 charging handle.A 7075-T6 aluminum extended charging handle for 30 dollars is all you need to know. The only downside I have found is they have this dura coat or something on them thats sorta chalky and can cause a tight fit in some uppers. Definitely gonna want to apply a healthy coat of lube to this bad boy before you stick it in. Dont wanna go in dry, too much friction. Anyway, once some of the coating wears down theyve functioned fine in my rifles. PSA, BCM, BCA, Ballistic Advantage are brands that i own and have put these charging handles in.You dont need to spend 70 to 100+ dollars to get a good charging handle. These are great and punch well above their pricepoint. Get one and try it.

It works perfectly in mine. This build uses a slickside billet upper and this handle not only looks great but fits perfectly. I bought a rave 140 trigger for my 6.5 grendel build from optics planet and this charging handle was included for free. I prefer ambi or latchless charging handles but this one was just meant to be. I was skeptical that it would fit my upper well after reading so many reviews that it’s too tight, and it’s definitely snug, but I can rack it with no issues. Also I’m sure that after a while it will wear down and feel really smooth. It was free, and it’s 100% for sure staying on this build.
