I purchased the 7 inch handguard for a 300 Blackout build, and it is exactly what I needed. Quality and finish are great, but the size is what really made this an ideal match. With a 7.5 inch Faxon Gunner barrel, there is just enough real estate past the end of the handguard to install a brake for standard or suppressed use. The barrel nut has a minimum profile, but being steel, should be plenty strong. With no timing necessary, I torqued to 35ft/lbs, removed, and re-torqued to 45. No issues. I used a Seekins adjustable gas block, and it just clears with a little space all around. I used an 11 slot Magpul 1913 Mlok rail section underneath, which fit the Mlok slots as it should, though it did stick out past the front end of the handguard by about 1/8 inch. I was able to easily file the rail for a clean-looking, flush fit. The clamping screw portion of the handguard is narrow, which became important when installing my angled foregrip. The foregrip position that is comfortable for me ended up being farther back, slightly off the rail, and the narrowness means the grip can straddle the clamp portion of the handguard for extra adjust-ability. Last point that could be viewed as a pro or can- but was a pro for me- is that there are no alignment tabs, so it can be mounted to a nonstandard upper receiver without modification. It did align perfectly with the pic rail of my upper.I was a little skeptical, having never heard of Sharps Bro, but my doubts were unfounded. Overall the quality and fit are top tier, and now that I've done the guinea pig work, I can only recommend you give them a shot.

The Sharps Bros 15" MLOK Handguard is a very high quality piece that pairs well with the Sharps Bros Upper Receiver that I purchased as well. Very well built! You cannot go wrong with Sharps Bros. Can't wait to get this on my build!

I went on about how the Wilson Combat said their "Bullet Proof Adjustable Lo-Profile Gas Block, 0.875 ITEM # TR-AGB875-R" would fit with any MILSPEC hand guard. I spoke to them over the phone when I ran into this issue. They said with authority it would fit… So I returned the two hand guards I purchased here and replaced them with a Wilson Combat one. Still didn't fit to my standards. Free float means no contact. They didn't seem surprised that they didn't fit when I called them back.If you are putting together a normal gas block these hand guards will fit fine.

I used this on a nice billet AR pistol in 300blk. Excellent quality, machining, and finish. Perfect length for my silencer, leaves a very small gap between the end of the handguard and the silencer. I’d definitely buy another one.

I ordered the 15” version for my new build because it was the look I wanted. I gave it only three stars because there’s no wrench added for torquing the barrel nut and it’s an odd size that my AR tool doesn’t fit. There’s only two screws that attach it to the barrel nut and they were already almost maxed out clamping space to keep it on. All in all it works but I know I could of found a better option for the price. Do more research.
