The GDCH has a proprietary design feature that incorporates an O-ring seal to prevent gas from escaping from the most prominent point of egress. This seal mitigates the amount of gas that is blown back into the shooters face, creating a more comfortable and enjoyable shooting experience. In addition to significantly redirecting blow back, the GDCH offers ambidextrous and oversized levers for a smooth process when charging or clearing a rifle. It is completely manufactured in-house and is machined from aircraft-grade 7075 aluminum. Shooters can utilize the GDCH with all common chamberings for the AR-15 platform. I have tried a few different charging handles that claim to reduce gas blowback. This one has performed the best. I have tested multiple charging handles in this “class”. Would recommend. Better than Radian Raptor SD.

I have two of these on both my suppressed SBRs. I guess I got lucky with my batch because mine did not fall apart like what the other reviewer experienced. Silencer Co just needs to keep their QC consistent and make sure these things dont fall apart because this is by far the most effective gas busting charging handle I have. I own the radian one with the vented ribs, Geissle, and precision reflex gas busting charging hadles, but those still leak gas under the charging handle. The rubber “U” ring does a great job sealing the gasses out, but they do tend to get shaken off after a while of use. What I did to secure it was to melt both ends of the rubber seal into the charging handle to help secure it and keep it from slowly coming off. This is a good product with an efficient and simple solution to a common problem when shooting suppressed, but it could use some refinements either in the form of a more secure rubber seal installation and maybe a vent to channel the gasses away from the shooters face so the fouling doesnt just build up in the receivers especially when shooting under rapid fire or full auto. I’d give this product a solid 4.5 considering it doesnt fall apart like what the other reviews mentioned.

Do not buy! I’m a swat operator, running an sbr and can. The rolls pins FELL OUT!!! Left me high and dry I want my money back!!!! I had to smash the roll pin back in place for it to fall out again 60 rounds later.

Just installed this and could not believe the difference it made! Nothing but smiling faces at the range.

I just got mine because I figured I could deal with the pin issue and the seal issue if I encountered it. Guess what… its been REDESIGNED… I didn't have to deal with either of those. I took a 5/64 Allen wrench to the range with me just in case the screws came loose even though I tested them prior to leaving. After shooting about 15, 30rd mags, they were still solid. I keep the Allen wrench with the Suppressor tool..big deal. I worked the CH about 20-25 times. Just to see what the seal would do. Never caused an issue. They fixed it as far as I am concerned.

Zero blowback, no discharge gases to the face, just the smell of burnt gunpowder. Great charging handle.
