Based on 5-star reviews alone, no other handguard comes close. But reviews don’t tell the whole story. Made with a rugged design, rock solid locking mechanism and incredibly simple installation, there’s a reason why STNGR handguards are regularly trusted by Police, SWAT, competition shooters, shooting instructors, home defenders and tens-of-thousands of STNGR customers. Specifications for STNGR VYPR M-Lok Free Float Handguard for AR15/M4: Manufacturer: STNGR Fabric/Material: 6061-T6 Aluminum Gun Make: AR Platform Gun Model: AR-15 Gun Type: Rifle Handguard Type: Free-Float Gun Rail: M-LOK Condition: New Included Accessories: Standard Inner Diameter: 1.35 in Mount Type: M-LOK Quantity: 1 Features of STNGR VYPR M-Lok Free Float Handguard for AR15/M4 Incredibly simple installation. The VYPR, with its simple non-timing barrel nut, was engineered to be the easiest handguard to install on the market. Perfect for first time builders and seasoned gunsmiths alike. No hassle, no frustration, no previous experience required. Simple. Locking anti-slide plate. The VYPR solves a problem that plagues most rails on the market – handguard sliding. With their proprietary anti-slide plate that interfaces with a groove in the barrel nut, the VYPR is locked to the upper – ensuring that it won’t go anywhere. Anti-rotation tabs. Forward sliding is a problem that’s solved with the anti-slide plate, but what about lateral rotation? The RPTR has built in anti-rotation tabs to prevent any kind of rotation. By combining the anti-slide plate and anti-rotation tabs, the result is a rock solid fit – no matter how hard you run it. Lightweight, increased ventilation. Aggressive machining cuts throughout the rail serve 3 critical functions: 1) Significantly slash excess weight 2) Increase ventilation to cool both your handguard and barrel 3) Steep angles prevent fingers from sliding into grooves. I put this on a EPC9 build over a Macron Armory guaranteed to feed 8.5” barrel & went on like Butter!! Very lightweight & has a unique system for install, I’d check their Sight out if you are curious about the product…they did a great Job on the details but could improve on shortening the screw length slightly or smoothing the threads a fuzz as they protrude out a Fuzz and you can feel them.

Now I own 2 of those rails and feel that I could review it fairly. You get what you pay for, its no high end manufacturer rail.Look, its lightweight and looks cool and if you just using it for bench shooting its totally fine. However, the Mlock cuts are out of specs, difficult to attach pic rails etc, takes a lot of wiggling to get mounting hardware through the cuts, easy to take finish off the rail in the process, to be fair when you get them in they stay, however it feels like you are bending the rail while tightening the screws, rail material is too soft. Rear QD sling attachment hole is fine, front is a joke, it does not lock QD head tight enough. I attached my Blue force gear sling to it, shouldered the gun, QD disconnected, gun dropped and my Delta Stryker $800 scope hit the ground. Nice!, you can imagine what I had to say about it. I tried magpul/ bcm/ cheap sh*t heads, nothing stays in, i guess hole is too big and again material is too soft. Ended up spending another $20 on Magpul sling qd base. Again, its a $100 rail, but you can get LaRue for $20 more and never have any of the above issues. Hope it helps.

A full package of form and function for a great price. It’s everything you need from an mlok handguard: super easy installation, solid mounting, anti rotation tabs, and the stylish look is a real bonus. It’s lightweight, not the lightest but definitely light enough. I’ve bought direct from STNGR and also here on OP. Love the company, very responsive friendly bunch. No issues recommending this product.

Not very happy at all. You get what you pay for. When it arrived i had high hopes. It looked great in the pictures, and priced to sell. I do not like the GIANT barrel nut. The finish on this thing could have been done better with a rattle can… spend a few extra dollars and just get a better one.

I now own 3 STNGR handguards and they have all been great so far. They are easy to install and don't have any wiggle room when tightened right. I love the anti-rotation tabs and the steel barrel nuts. Much better than the aluminum. I love the deign on these as well and you really can't beat this for the price.
