Great addition to my ar and the price was great also! Easy to install. Makes the gun look more aggressive and is comfortable also. Would buy more strike industries products. OpticsPlanet has some of the best prices on the net.

This hand guard may not be as refined as the MOE or MOE SL from Magpul, but it is high quality non the less. The grip is aggressive in texture and allows for a good purchase when pulling a rifle tight into the shoulder. The front of the guard doesn't extend passed the front sling loop, so there is no need for it's removal from the barrel for installation. The front of the guard also has a stop built into it, which is great for barriers, or, in my case, as a place to put a finger around to pull a rifle firm into the shoulder. At a price of sub 30$ you cant really go wrong with this hand guard.

Great look and feel, easy install, perfect fit on my SW m&p sport 2. Optics planet shipped it right away and they have competitive prices, there is always coupons available for most of their products.

Strike is great in general, they hit the nail on the head with this one. Take particular note of the forward finger holds, all the way up at the from. These are PERFECT for what’s called “wringing out your towel” when your intention is to put a lot of lead downrange in a short period of time.

I put these on the first AR I ever owned, a DPMS. I have had this rifle for almost 10 years and had never done any upgrades to it, all that I did was put a red dot on it. I was really thinking about upgrading it to a flattop and removing the A2 front post but after pricing everything out I was just not going to put that much money into a $400 rifle when I already have 3 other flattops. So I went to looking for hand guards because the factory ones are way to big to get a good grip on. I really like these, they lock up good and tight and the way the bottom is rounded a little it lets you get a really good grip. I also like the way they kinda wrap around the front post, and the top is even with the upper receiver. I bought the delta ring tool too just in case I needed it but I ended up not using it. The delta ring is really tight but I was able to pull it done enough by hand to slip the old guards off. Getting these on was a little bit harder because of the way they lock in, but when I finally got them in the right spot and locked up they are very tight and no wobbling whatsoever. For $25 these are great, this is probably the only upgrade this rifle will ever get but it definitely made it nicer to shoot.

ProsFits tight and solid (on an S&W M&P Sport II w/ 16" brl).Almost as easy to install as the stock handguard; no tools were needed.Looks good.Feels good.Nice understated handstop; flat on the bottom to use as a rest.Seems at least as strong as the stock guard.Very reasonable price.ConsI don't see any.Other commentsI suspect the occasional too tight or too loose fit is a result of differences in rifle manufacturer tolerances, not the handguard. If you're handy you can fix that.Like the way the top rear of the guard goes over the D ring; makes a visual transition to the upper receiver rail. That does make it a bit harder to install/uninstall, but not much in my experience. Also like that the top of the guard is level with the rail.
