This gas block required a little additional work before I placed it on my recent build. I wanted a polished look since I was using a short hand guard and the gasblock would show a little at the end of the gaurd. A few minutes in the shop at the buffing wheel and it was ready to go. Looks great. Now I just need to go to the range to see how it performs.

Still haven’t installed this yet but it looks up to par. Only issue I have with it is that it looks like this material could rust easily. It’s not as shiny as image either. Hopefully it installs good.

The gas block overall was nicely machined. The only issue was either it was shipped with the incorrect set screws or it was tapped incorrectly. The set screws were 1/4 20, the holes were tapped it appears as 6mm. Or at least a 6mm tightens up snug.

I got this to fit inside of an Aero Atlas S-one with a .875 Wilson Combat sniper barrel and it doesn't contact. The issue I had with other gas blocks is the taper from the gas tube opening (top) to barrel opening (middle) was too fat. Tacfire removed material around that area so the bump for the gas tube opening is not as wide through the transition and now doesn't hit my handuard. There is a small chance I'll have to remove a few thousandths from the bottom where the set screws are, but for now the gas block doesn't appear to be messing with the harmonics of the barrel. Thank you Tacfire.

I noticed an accuracy problem on a proof research barrel rifle and traced it to a loose gas block and blowback. After replacing the handguard with a shorter one for future inspections I realized the steel gas block looked like cr*p so I looked for a block with looks to match my barrel. I replaced several like this and they're solid as a rock. Not only did it fix the accuracy problem but it looks great.
