Amazing quality for the price. I suggest the 12.5 inch version over the 15", even for a 16" barrel. Less weight out front. Recommended torque for the screws that secure handguard to a standard barrel nut is 8 to 10 FOOT pounds, so make sure you have the right tools. Highly recommend.

I really love the low profile of the rail and the quality! This rail is exactly what it should be, Lightweight, strong, and high quality. This is very low profile and if you're using an adjustable gas block that doesn't front adjust you will likely run into clearance issues with the screw. I haven't had any problems with the mlok screws contacting any surfaces below the rail but you can expect to feel the heat from the barrel with the limited space between the rail and barrel and gas tube.

The handgusrd looks really nice. It's lightweight. It works well for attachments. My biggest issue with it is the way it attaches to the rifle. It uses a milspec barrel nut, which IT DOES NOT COME WITH. That's not an issue, the issue occurs when you are trying to tighten the screws. The teeth of the barrel nut have to be in line with the inner serrations of the handguard in order for the screw mounts to engage. The issue with this is that, if you twist the handguard to either side by about 5°, the mounting system disengages and you can just slide the handgusrd right off.Now thats fine and all for a casual shooting trip, but if you do anything that puts force on the gun, the odds that the handguard will literally just slide off is high.PS, i followed the directions on the instruction sheet (which were lacking at best), but there may be a possibility that I misunderstood or did something wrong in the way I mounted it. I am open to that possibility. However, I will never know if I did something wrong or not because TROY has non-existant customer service. I called the number on the paper and it redirected me to another number that didnt answer no matter how many times I called. I also looked online for a customer service number with no success. I emailed them and they never responded.
