I love the fact that you don’t have to clock the barrel but in a certain position. Make it so much easier to install and not have to worry about where the holes are located for the gas tube. Just torque it and move on!

I was very excited after purchasing the 15-inch FDE M-LOK handguard from Trybe Defense. The item was well packaged and looked amazing, but when I unpacked and installed it on my AR, I was deeply disappointed. Since I have owned several handguards from popular brands such as Midwest Industries, Geisselle, Monstrum tactical, Daniel Defense and so on, the price of the Trybe Defense handguard is more affordable, but its quality is far inferior. First of all, there is no anti-rotation tab or plate. This feature is very critical to prevent unwanted rotations in case of strong recoils when the gun is fired. After installing the barrel nut on my upper, I noticed that the handguard slides over the barrel nut pretty easy. Then I tightened two mounting screws at 50 inch pounds onto the handguard, hopefully it would be held pretty steady against the barrel nut. Unfortunately, the handguard was very sluggish and unsteady, I was able to rotate it around the barrel nut very easy. This issue is a big NO to the people who set up their own rifles. After that, I tried to unscrew the handguard to separate it completely from the barrel nut. I inspected it very carefully to see if I made any mistake during my installation, I hope the anti-rotation tab might hide somewhere inside the handguard, but I couldn't find anything. I decided to give it one more try. Once again, I slided the handguard over the barrel nut, screwed two screws at 50 inch-lbs, the handguard still rotated around the barrel nut pretty easy. I decided it's time to return and put in a honest review. This will be the last time I purchased a handguard from Trybe Defense.

Fit and finish are perfect. Love the low profile grip area. It is pretty lightweight and improved balance over the stock configuration on my Springfield Saint. Accepts the streamlights with the pressure switch well.
