Installation Instructions Handguard Installation instructions In order to install your new handguard, you will need the following tools: 30mm Wrench 5/32″ Hex Screwdriver Thread Locker (optional) Once you have installed your barrel in your upper receiver, thread the barrel nut onto the upper and tighten down to 35-65 foot pounds. After you have installed your gas block and tube assembly, slide the handguard over the barrel nut. You may apply Loctite to the exterior of the barrel nut across the knurled surface for added grip. You will need to apply some force to the rail when going over the barrel nut as the knurling is designed to mar the interior surface of the rail, adding additional grip. Align the rail with your receiver and put the mounting screws in the drilled holes from the left side of the upper receiver and proceed to tighten them down to 3 foot-pounds (36 inch-pounds). Do not torque screws more than 3 foot-pounds. Exceeding this force may strip the threads. Was actually impressed by this product. When people make lightweight stuff it can be a bit gimmicky or not function well. Overall I was blown away by the weight. Everything fit perfectly. Was wondering about that torque spec being low. But it went on perfectly. Actually going to purchase a smaller one for a short set up.

I was wanting save weight for a backpack build. This worked. Don’t want lightweight anything that I can’t hang stuff on. So this kept some functionality. I did take a spill with it. Put a nice set of scratches is the finish. But aluminum would have done the same. I just didn’t want to find a break somewhere. I didn’t. The material is just so light it’s a little weird. All my gear is used hard. I’ll leave a note if anything goes wrong.

I have been trying to find a handguard that is lightweight, durable, and with a great look. This product definitely meets these standards. I love the smooth feel of the handguard and the color looks amazing! I was a little worried when I felt just how lightweight this product was, but when I put it to the test it did not disappoint!

I complained about Trybe and left a bad review about them forgetting to send the handguard screws. They sent replacements and at the same time I found the original screws on my garage floor as they had apparently fell out of the package when I opened it. Totally my fault but their service is good. Was sold along with Volquartsen M&P 15-22 barrel as if it would fit M&P 15-22 pistol. It does not fit. I will return it.
