I purchased this for my Spike's 9mm build, and it worked great. I had doubts about the ruggedness of the pistol style extractor, but after thousands of rounds it functions as it should, and shows no real wear. I've built a couple AR45s' but have used the AR style extractors(for longevity) I'm not sure if it even matters though. So far this BCG paired up with a Veritas Tactical 5.5" barrel, in a AR Stoner pistol upper, it's running perfectly.

For a hybrid bolt carrier this is extremely high Quality. It seems like the weight of the bolts with a carbine buffer spring and a 9 mm buffer is a perfect match for recoil and consistent feeding. I would buy another if I was building one

I got this Bolt with one of their Trybe Defense 9mm 10.5" barrels, see my review of that barrel. This 9mm bolt has so far been a champ, I have so far 500+ rounds of various 9mm ammunition types through my AR9 build and this bolt has been holding up really well. For the price point, it is a steal.This bolt works well with a Springco red recoil spring and a 4" 6.5 oz buffer, you want your total buffer and bolt weight to be at 22+ oz for the blowback of the AR 9 platform.

Created a new 9mm build with 16.1" barrel and this BCG looked very similar to BCG in my Palmetto Arms 9mm pistol AR. Upon inspection I have to say if they aren't made by the same folks… they have me fooled.Received in 4 days from Optics Planet.Immediately dropped it into my new 16.1" build and fired off 60 rounds with fail. Worked flawlessly. Last 17 rounds were suppressed. Then dropped it into my AR pistol and fired it suppressed as well. Not one issue.AR Pistol is a dedicated lower with Glock mag-well. The 16.1 barrel has 556 lower with PSA custom mag-well adaptor. Again, BCG worked with both. Neither builds feature a lock-open ability but knew that going in.Again, I dropped some oil on the BCG, wiped it off and put it into both builds without issue. Great price for a guy who likes to enjoy shooting his guns without spending a lot on his fun.

Had the same issue as jb. Fired, extracted, and ejected first round then had to manually cycle to fire again. Removed firing pin and found it did not have a spring (not typical for 9mm bcg's). Added firing pin spring and now it runs. Using Endomag and Hahn mag block with Colt stick mag.
