Magnesium alloy is much less brittle and susceptible to damage from corrosive elements such as copper, which would abrade or scratch compared to aluminum. Plasma adsorption processes, such as the ones used on bulletproof windows and crowns, provide excellent wear properties compared to anodizing. Plasma adsorption also has the added benefit of significantly improving the strength of the final product compared to air.
